Light, aroma, taste, acoustics and touch: The Andrum Wellness Center in the Höör district in Sweden was designed based on these five senses.
The elements of concrete, stone, wood and glass are combined to form a whole that aims to be “low-key and beautiful”, according to the architects at Johan Sundberg Arkitektur. The floors made from slabs of stone along with the wooden walls and ceilings complement the subdued color palette of the interior.
The spa services at Andrum include saunas and waterfall baths. The floor-to-ceiling glass windows allow for a constant interaction with nature, where resting places have been positioned for meditation.
A secluded terrace with an outdoor pool at the back of the building allows the visitor to have a relaxing experience, surrounded by a spectacular garden setting.
