In 1923, Alfa Romeo hired engineer Vittorio Jano to design a racing engine, which was successfully completed, and so after two very successful seasons when the company withdrew from the road races, Jano was reassigned to create road cars.

Keeping the command of Jano, Zagato, inspired and created the Alfa Romeo 8C 2300 Zagato Spider that came out on the streets in 1931 and even today is fascinating the modern drivers for its impeccable design and dynamics.
