In 1948, Porsche introduced its first sports car in Gmünd, Austria. Seventy years later, the company is one of the most powerful brands in the world, and this book entitled “70 Years of Porsche Sports Cars” is a tribute to its rich history. A brief glance at its highlights some of its legendary models like the 911 but also individuals who have played a significant role in its evolution, such as designer Ferdinand Alexander Porsche and engine maker Ernst Fuhrmann.
The pages also lack reference to famous Hollywood celebrities linked to the brand, such as Steve McQueen and James Dean.
Finally, about half of the 300 pages of the book are dedicated to color illustrations in praise of the brand that has become synonymous with speed, design and timeless style.
