David Bowie: The Man Who Fell to Earth

In 1976, David Bowie starred in the role of a humanoid alien, Thomas Jerome Newton, in the British film “The Man Who Fell To Earth”. It was Bowie’s first starring role on the big screen, and this book by Taschen includes a series of photographs that travels the reader behind the cameras during the creation, pulled by David James’s lens.

The book also includes an introductory essay exploring the process of making science fiction films and based on an interview with David James, who reveals some of the secrets to achieving the above goal.
