Japanese Design In A Ski Chalet

From rustic to a minimal ski chalet. Oppenheim Architecture + Design completely reconstructs a 30-year-old Aspen home in Colorado and gives a new proposal for both modern architecture and the skiers and the accommodations they choose.

With design inspired by the Japanese wabi sabi philosophy, the wood and the open spaces dominate the design of the building by camouflaging it perfectly to the nature environment that exists, while the large glass surfaces of La Muna Residence allow the natural light diffuses giving the visitor the pleasure to enjoy the sunshine of the snowy landscape while enjoying his stay at Aspen.
